How can we make ROSTR better for you?

Include Promoter Profiles

Promoters are a key part of the live music ecosystem, but they’re largely missing from ROSTR.

Add a People Directory

ROSTR has directories for Artists, Companies, Tours, Festivals, and Signings — but not for People. A dedicated People Directory would let you browse and filter industry contacts (managers, agents, etc.) the same way you do with artists and companies.

Shareable Lists

Lists are currently private to whoever created them, which limits their value as a working tool. Adding the ability to share a list, either privately by link or publicly so others can find it, would let users keep teams, partners and clients in sync as a list evolves rather than re-sending screenshots or spreadsheets every time something changes. Followers of a shared list would stay updated automatically as artists, people or companies get added or removed, and a Discover view would surface lists worth following from across the platform.

Include "Known Legal" info on Artist Profiles

It would be helpful to see known legal representation on artist profiles — entertainment lawyers and law firms that represent them.

API Access for Personal Workflow Integration

A developer API would unlock a lot of value for power users. Right now, the data on ROSTR — artist profiles, listener growth, manager and agency contacts, deal affiliations — lives in a silo. Agents, managers, and label staff who are already building internal tools and workflows can't connect to it programmatically, which means they either manually re-enter data that's already on ROSTR or skip the integration entirely. An API (even a read-only one to start) would let teams pull artist intelligence directly into the tools where decisions actually get made — routing software, CRM systems, scouting trackers. ROSTR becomes part of the workflow rather than a tab you remember to check. This isn't a niche request. Anyone using ROSTR seriously enough to pay for it is probably also running some kind of internal system. Bridging those two things is where the real stickiness is.

Add Comedian Profiles

Comedy is a huge part of the live sector as well. Would be extremely helpful to have their profiles included in the Rostr database.

Set Alerts of Artists by Deal Status / Open to Label Offers

Have the ability to discover artists who are currently looking for deals or open to label offers, and set alerts when this happens.

Get job notifications for companies you follow

If you follow a company, you should automatically see job notifications when that company posts new openings. Right now following and Jobs feel disconnected.

API access

Being able to programmatically query artist, company, and contact data would unlock a lot of value for teams that want to integrate ROSTR into their workflows.

View More than top 50 Spotify cities

Would be helpful if we could see more than the top 50 cities for Spotify listeners. Maybe top 100? Even better if we could just search by city

Planned

Would be amazing if there was a "recent news" tab on artist and agent profiles.

Would be very helpful, and great insight to know if someone was recently signed to a label or agency or is getting any kind of media coverage. Their relevancy essentially goes up during that period and can make the difference between someone who can sell tickets or not, fresh support from labels, agency, and media can often mean an artist is about to blow up, although streaming and social media may not reflect.

Allow search by top cities for Spotify listenership

Would be so productive if I could search for artists that have my city in their top 50 cities. Could allow me to discover new and relevant artists that are locally relevant.

Ticket Sales

I feel like we are still missing a true, definitively accurate source on ticket sales and history. Would love to be able to look this up by both artist and venue

Location Filter or Tab

Would love to see a location tab to look at companies and news thats specific to my city. That would help me from having to sort through info about new york ect when im focused on LA.

Show Signings on Artist Profiles

When viewing an artist’s profile, it would be great to see their signing history — which labels, distributors, or publishers they’ve signed with, and when, similar to what we already show in company profiles.

Add publicist info to artist profiles

We’d love to see publicist and PR contact info on artist profiles. This is something that comes up frequently when researching artists — knowing who their publicist is would be very useful.

Improve Sharing Throughout the Platform

Sharing content from ROSTR — whether it’s an artist profile, a news article, or a company page — should be seamless. Right now, there’s no easy way to share a link or snippet with colleagues outside the platform. Adding share buttons, copyable links, and clean social previews would make ROSTR more useful as a daily reference tool and help spread the word organically.
